This hike will connect to the North Ridge Trail in Sky Meadows State Park, but will not descend to the Park Visitor’s Center. Details to be added.

Based on PATC Map #8, this is a moderate 3-4 mile circuit with a 1,200-foot gain. There is an entrance fee for the park. The hike includes most of the major park trails. Starting at the Visitor’s Center and going south to the Snowden Loop Trail coming back to the South Ridge Trail to the North Ridge Trail, to the Piedmont Overlook Trail, and descending to the Visitors Center. Leaders Note: This is a particularly beautiful Spring hike when the Red Bud trees are blooming. Details to be added.

Saturday, February 08, 2003, 1:PM, Paris VA 20130, Casual Circuit Hike, G. Richard Thompson WMA. Leader: LeadersName, PhoneNumber, LeadersEmail. Based on PATC Map #8, this is a moderate 5-mile circuit with a 1,200-foot gain. The hike starts at the VA Route 688 parking area below the dam, crosses the dam and climbs up the northern trail to the AT. Follows the AT just past the turn to parking lot #6 turn left to begin the descent to the ruins and then back to the parking lot. Details to be added.

Saturday, February 08, 2003, 1:PM, Paris VA 20130, Casual Circuit Hike, G. Richard Thompson WMA. Leader: LeadersName, PhoneNumber, LeadersEmail. Based on PATC Map #8, this is an easy 5-mile circuit with a 600-foot gain. The hike begins and ends at Parking Lot #6 on VA Route 638. From the parking lot, go east to the AT, south to the Verlin Smith Trail, and onto the second ruins. From here begin the ascent back to the AT, take the right hand trail back to the parking lot.
