moderate 7-8 mile loop with a 400-foot gain going out and a 600-foot elevation

Saturday, February 08, 2003, 9:AM, Pine Grove Furnace State Park PA, Casual Loop Hike, Appalachian Trail, Pine Grove Furnace State Park north to James Fry Shelter and return. Leader: LeadersName, PhoneNumber, LeadersEmail. Based on PATC Map #2, this is a difficult, 9-10 mile loop from the parking lot to Pole Steeple Trail to AT to James Fry Shelter with an 800-foot elevation gain at the beginning of hike followed by a long downhill and a 1,000-foot gain coming back. Based on PATC Map #2, this is a tough 10-11 mile point-to-point with an 800-foot elevation gain at the beginning with a long downhill, followed by a 500-foot gain in the middle of hike and 200-foot downhill. Leader: LeadersName, PhoneNumber, LeadersEmail. Based on PATC Map #2, this is a moderate 8-mile loop starting with a 500-foot elevation gain, followed with a long downhill. On the return, there is a long uphill with a 400-foot gain with a 500 foot downhill. Details to be added.
